Discussion

  • Discussed parking - waiting on additional information from provider
  • Need to advertise physically and digitally for membership to accept policies (nothing new, just for insurance and safety purposes)
  • Rob and landlord looked at drip issues, discussed with offenders how they can fix this
  • Discussed clearer signage regarding H+S and Fire Safety
  • Comms on membership storage, to make clearer instructions on updated changes
  • Build vs buy machinery
  • Absolutely not self-designed / self-build “heavy” machinery
  • Insurance is unclear, ubt probably disallows
  • Manufactured products are certified & tested, much easier to have confidence in
  • For DIY, so much more effort required to understand & evaluate. More than we’re capable of; likely needs external, independent, review.
  • Likely applies to existing CNCs. If we were to apply rule blatantly, we might need to reject & have them removed.
  • In comms on this point, emphasize volunteer time cost greatly outweighs monetary savings
  • Advanced grinder:
  • Self-fulding to circumvent thresholds, level of detail, scrutiny:
    • Absolutely not. We have & are willing to spend money.
    • We don’t want members having given the space [monetary] favours
    • Intent to get away with less detailed proposal doesn’t work; level of detail does not scale with threshold.
  • Unwillingness to write detailed proposal
    • Likely influenced by personal behaviours, as well as inexperience with proposals.
    • Discussed what a good proposal looks like.
    • Action to provide examples or guidance.
  • Discussed what a good PP proposal looks like
  • Mini foods for Mini HTSD
